If you booked with us~ and your fare permits, you can cancel your booking online at Manage booking:

  •  Retrieve your booking in Manage Booking. You’ll need your booking reference, which you can find in your confirmation email. If you’re a Frequent Flyer, you can log in to My Account, go to flight booking and select ‘Manage’ to access Manage Booking.
  •  Select ‘Flight details’ under Flights.

  • Note: If the ‘Cancel’ button is unavailable, contact your local Qantas office.

Customers are entitled to a refund in the following situations:

  • We cannot offer you suitable alternative arrangements if we cancel your flight.

  • If you have canceled your Qantas flight, wait to hear from us before changing your booking. We’ll contact anyone whose flight has been impacted as soon as possible with the options available, including a Flight Credit, an alternative flight to your booked destination (if possible), or a refund.
  • If you are no longer able to or wish to travel, you can choose to cancel your flight yourself, and they may charge a cancellation fee following your fare rules. You can also request a Flight Credit or change your flight.
  • Before booking and before you travel, ensure you check the latest airline and government travel requirements, which may include mandatory health declarations, vaccinations, COVID-19 tests, use of face masks, entry permits, pre-approval and quarantine (possibly at your own expense), or you could be denied entry.

Qantas cancellation policy 24 hours

  • For any travel itinerary departing outside of Australia.
  • Outside the of the 24-hour cooling-off period. The 24-hour cooling-off period starts after you make your booking.
  • Booked through a travel agent or other third-party provider.
  • Where the ticket hasn’t been issued, contact your local Qantas office for assistance if you booked using BPay and transferred the funds within the 24-hour cooling-off period, but the transfer is processing.

How much is the cancellation fee for flights?

  • To cancel a Qantas non-refundable ticket, you will be required to pay between $200-$500 depending on the distance of the flight covered, the location chosen, and the type of fare. The remaining fare will be given to you as an e-Credit for future use on a Qantas flight.
